I changed the filters this morning. Piece of cake.

Thank you for posting that, Epic! I am glad to see it in video form from start to finish.

However, I was disappointed to see that you didn't don the Hazmat suit referenced in an earlier thread...

Thanks again!

Great job as always. Love your videos and the bits of humor you inject into them.

I think Epic should have his own thread to post all of his videos. Very informative and helps to see someone do some of these procedures than just read about them.

Thanks Epic keep them coming.

Great video Epic. Nearly same results minus the algae.
Ford certainly put some thought into this process on the 6.7L.
Almost "plug and play."

Sorry but I busted out laughing at 2:34.
I was as far away as I could reach with one arm and a drain pan below so the only damage was my entire left arm was covered with diesel.
I drained for what I thought was 5 minutes with no signs of stopping and there was plenty of fuel left in there when it opened up.
I was expecting worse.

I also like how they have a story line to them not just the procedure. For example when he films the trip to go and pick up his fuel tank.

Hey Epic, @ what milage are you at that you changed filters? I had mine into the dealer for 10k oil change and normal service and to my suprise, they changed my fuel filters. @ $150, I was befudled. Manual calls for 22k at most, but 10k?

Yeah, it was kind of a mess. Nothing that a little bit of brake cleaner and a rag couldn't handle. I had to suck it up when I decided to include that little section in the video. Nothing like getting caught on video screaming like a girl... lol. Figured others would benefit, so... just doing my part. I think next time I'm going to see if the plug will come completely out. If so, that would drain the bowl pretty quickly.

My truck is just shy of 15K. Looking at my filters, I could have easily gone the distance with them. They weren't nearly as bad as kper's. But like most things, I just couldn't wait to see how it worked. Knowing what I know now, there is no excuse to have the dealer do this service. It is extremely easy if you have a 1 1/4 inch socket for your ratchet. The box of filters from DieselFiltersOnline was $70 I think.

Great video as always. Can't wait to get into some of this stuff on my truck. It's going to be a while though-only have 2500 miles on it so far and the first 2 oil changes and def refills are on the dealer.
