I changed the filters this morning. Piece of cake.

Great video Epic. Nearly same results minus the algae.
Ford certainly put some thought into this process on the 6.7L.
Almost "plug and play."
Sorry but I busted out laughing at 2:34.
I was as far away as I could reach with one arm and a drain pan below so the only damage was my entire left arm was covered with diesel.
I drained for what I thought was 5 minutes with no signs of stopping and there was plenty of fuel left in there when it opened up.
I was expecting worse.

Thanks everyone.
Yeah, it was kind of a mess. Nothing that a little bit of brake cleaner and a rag couldn't handle. I had to suck it up when I decided to include that little section in the video. Nothing like getting caught on video screaming like a girl... lol. Figured others would benefit, so... just doing my part. I think next time I'm going to see if the plug will come completely out. If so, that would drain the bowl pretty quickly.
My truck is just shy of 15K. Looking at my filters, I could have easily gone the distance with them. They weren't nearly as bad as kper's. But like most things, I just couldn't wait to see how it worked. Knowing what I know now, there is no excuse to have the dealer do this service. It is extremely easy if you have a 1 1/4 inch socket for your ratchet. The box of filters from DieselFiltersOnline was $70 I think.
