Changing the back windows on my 77 SuperCab to pop outs. Have new gaskets (seals). Do these need to be glued in place,or do the gaskets just sit on the opening? Several of my buddies have opinions... I just need a definitive answer. They seem a bit loose to me to just rest there...
I don't know about the seals but my guess would be glued like door seals.
But I am wondering about how the rest of the process went. I have a set of pop outs I need to install my self, was it pretty straight forward? did you have to buy the little plastic hinge pockets or were those on the windows? How was the connection made I can see dimples for the hinge were the spots for the hinges hiden under the fixed window? Any chance of pics?
Sorry just have been thinking about this project lately.
Pretty straightforward swap. Pull the fixed windows, the holes for the hinges are already there. My truck had the holes for the latches already there, but looked abused. Couple shots with the ball end of a hammer,& some 1/4 sheet metal screws, and it's done. My windows did come with the plastic hinges n place

Weird. I'm changing mine to stationary this week. If any of you guys want the hardware minus the seals let me know.
