Sensor issue or something
so my 1997 f150 will not shift out of overdrive and hangs in gear and will not shift from 1st to 2nd or 3rd unless i let off the gas pedal. the check engine light came on yesterday and i scanned it and it said it was a p0401 code and i cleaned the egr tube on the throttle body and it didnt clear the check engine light. other than the light i notice no change in the way it drove until today its all the sudden wont shift out of overdrive unless i turn it off, and will not shift until it hits around 3000 rpms and even then i have to complpetely let of the gas and it shifts hard almost a clunk. my question is, is it a tps sensor or something? any help would be apperciated.
