trading my f250 for f250

I was thinking of trading my 93 f250 diesel for a 87 f250 with 460 in it. The over all look of the 87 is better then my 93 but mine ain't to bad either so I was wanting to know if I should keep my 93 with 300k on it or go to a older truck with less miles on it

One thing to keep in mind is that the 460 is NOT known for being fuel efficient - they are veeerrrryyyy thirsty engines...

You'd be damn lucky to get 13 or 14. '92-'97s are far better than the pre '92s IMO.

If it's a 4x4, don't expect to get out of single digits especially if you work it or live in a hilly area. The 7.3 is way more efficient and there is a lot that can be done to get more power along with even more mileage out of it.

Well I didn't do the trade for the 460 but I drove my truck and its acting weird it will start acting like its skipping and the die and won't start back up for like 3 mins any ideas what that might be and it seems like it may do it worse when I have it on the back fuel tank

Plugged fuel filter, or if it seems to mostly do it below 1/4 tank then it may have cracked pickups.
