What chain autoparts store parts cluck has a single clue inre to these trucks?
1967/72's were available with factory installed auxillary fuel tanks. Valve on floor switches auxillary tank to in-cab tank and vice versa.
Where was the fuel filter located? On the pump inside the cannister. Ditto 1973/76's with in-cab tank (F250 4WD), aft axle and/or midship tanks.

The aftermarket uses virtually the same database derived from the eighties and changed tweaked and rewritten by a programmer over the years. it has its problems believe me, I've seen them and had to find ways around it to make your customer happy. if your parts guy is not at least willing to pull out their respective vendors catalog to solve a problem, then you are prob not in the right store. there are real parts guys and there are guys that could. not make a Big Mac
