Found moisture in the dizzy. Marked its spot removed it brought it inside to let it dry out. After reassembly checked spark, present but weak. Checked coil, failed the ohm test. Replaced it. Soundd like its trying now but still wont start. Fuel pressure is at 38 pounds within range. getting anoid tester today to ensure injector signal.
one time when I released the key from cranking it over it ran for a second or two. Another time it wouldnt come on. Other than those two instances it primes the system as usual. is there any way of checking the computer? Thank your for the suggestion.
Sound a little inconsistent.
I was thinking you may have got water into the computer plug.
I would pull the computer and open it up and see what you have.
You may see some burnt parts or leaky electrolytic capacitors.
Ok got the computer out. outside is covered in white corrosion looking stuff, and a little bit of rust. inside looks ok no burnt spots, doesnt smell burnt. However it does have a slight battery acid kinda smell. Possibly the capacitors you mentioned. Also the connector was full of water. I believe the computer is the culprit as you suggested. I will try to find a suitable replacement this weekend at the local pull and pay. thank you so far. I will let you know the results.
If it is not burnt I would dry out the plug and fill it with dielectric grease and try it again.
You do not have to install the computer just plug it in.
