New fan question

Found out my fan clutch is going bad today. So when I replace it with a new one I was thinking. Has anyone put anything but the factory fan on their truck? Think a aluminum flex fan will be any better than stock?
As much as I want e fans I can't afford them.

Just looking for some ideas.

In summary, no....a cluth fan is more efficient than a flex fan...and has better air flow as well.
