They work great for defrosting windows and tempering the cold untill engine is up to temp. Colder than 0 and you will have to wait for the engine to heat up. As far as I know its only availible on the diesel. I have one and will have one on the next truck.

Not really. I was disappointed with mine in my 2011 F350. It certainly helps, but it doesn't make a huge difference.
And also, I would suggest titling your thread with the topic you are trying to discuss rather than your username. The title "riki" does nothing to tell us what this thread is about, and that makes it confusing.
I use mine alot here in the PNW. It gives heat pretty quick, maybe not 1 min, but 2-3 it is warm. The diesel takes a long time to get warm, used to be a good 7-8 minutes easily in my 2010, now it is warm by the time it is run a min. or so while warming up. Well worth it in the cooler climates.
