Mirror Swap
Did a search couldn't find a good write-up:
Want to swap the small paddle style mirrors on my 2000 250 XL to the larger towing mirrors. It doesn't look to be too bad of a job but it'd be nice to have a good set of photos and a write-up to follow. I really want the ones with the turn signals in them but I don't think the XL will have the harness in the door since it has manual windows/locks. Looks like all that needs to come apart is just the black plastic cover on the inside above the door trim covering the mounting bolts.
Both of the 350's we have plus our EX all have the larger towing mirrors - I miss them when I drive the 00...

Direct swap. Your 2000 will not have the turn signal harness in the door they didn't come out with that until 03 I think. All you have to do is tap into your running lights and turnsignals run wires through the weather seals in your door and you are good to go. Thats what i sid with my e99 i have 06 King Ranch mirrors on mine. Total you will have to pull the door panels 2 screws, one in the handle area and one behind the door light/reflector in the bottom corner of the door. Remove the speaker. Mirror wiring connector behind the speaker. 3 bolts on the mirror under rubber grommets. Re install in reverse order. Very easy swap, I wish I had pics for ya but there is the main points.
