Brake issues

Hey guys I just picked up a 71 f250 4x4 (because I miss my 69 f250 so much haha) Im doing the brakes on it so i have both rear drums off right now and the whole parking brake system as falling apart on both sides so I was wondering if any of you guys havr pictures or could help me with what goes where.

Also I know there is a front disk conversion but is there a rear I can get also?

Time to buy a manual . The rear e-cable just hooks to the e-brake arm as far as I remember. Don't have the spreader bar like most rears have..orich

thanks for the response i got it figured out now. it was that little plate deal that keeps the self adjuster screw in place they both fell off. one got chewed up pretty good inside but i replaced them now everything works great!

The cable guides (right/left. front/rear same) cannot be installed wrong, attach to the brake shoe with a horseshoe clip.

What happens is, the adjuster cable snaps, then the clip can work loose, guide then floats around inside the drum.

Was not talking about the cable guides maybe your thinking about f100. E-brake arm don't hook too the shoes with a clip. Plus the adjuster lever some guys don't hook the retracting spring in the correct hole in the shoe that ends up leaving the shoes loose. Also the adjuster lever spring installed wrong that causes it to end up dragging in the drum. And have seen cables frayed around the cable guides & some cables come out as some have end clip a center tit & some just a tit fits into the shoe about 1/8" deep with the return spring hooked through it and turned backwards so it won't work out. These don't have any U sharped clips to hold the e-brake arm or anything they are not used on the 1971 f250 4x4orich
