Wanted 8 foot box in perfect condition needed for a 79 with two gas doors must be straight and rust free. Pm me please
Doncha think you should list your location? Consider what the shipping charges will be from wherever to Manitoba Canada. There's some sort of import tax you have to pay if buying in the USA
Doncha think you should mention what series your truck is? 1977/79: There are two different types of 8' Styleside beds.
1977/79 F350's on the 140" wheelbase have the rear axle 'set back' so the rear wheels are in a different location than other 1977/79 F100/350's.
Plus these 140" wheelbase F350's have the spare tire located behind a door on the right quarter panel in front of the right rear wheel.
btw: No one can send you a P/M as you need 25 posts before you can send/receive P/M's.
Numberdummy that rule got changed a few weeks ago. You can't PM until you have at least five posts & been a member for ten days.
OP: Numberdummy's word is golden. He was a Ford Parts Man for many years. So, please pay attention to what he writes. You'll learn something.
The rule may have been changed, but for some reason, this guy can not receive PM's.
I've got a real good 8-ft bed, slight dent on drivers' side. Mostly damage-free bed-floor. Only some surface rust where paint was rubbed by a plastic bed liner. Dual fuel doors, standard wheel base, no tailgate, removed trim, includes marker and tail lights and harness, some holes drilled in bed rails for a tool box, or a topper, or something. I'm in Olympia, WA. $200, but make me an offer. Ph: 2O6-499-O84O
I'm looking for a std 8 foot box for a 1979 f250 4x4 if someone had a perfectly straight inside and out box I would be willing to pay a premium for shipping or go for a drive and pick it up restoring the truck to show quality. Thanks hard to find a good box in the rust belt and farm truck country
I know where there's one in Rialto (south of I-10, west of San Bernardino) CA, but that's a long way from Manitoba Canada.
I doubt the fellow that owns the Opel wrecking yard where the bed is located, would ship it. I don't recall the business name, but...
Last year, an FTE member (wagonerki) from WA bought a 1966 Bronco powertrain off ebay for 100 bucks in Riverside, then flew here, bought a raspy 1991 F350 Stake Bed from the Opel guy he found on Craigslist.
F350 hadn't been driven since 2008, getting it to run correctly was a pain, turned out to be faulty computer. Once that was replaced, Keith drove straight home to Sedro-Wooley with Bronco parts, without stopping, except for gas.
