master cylinder relocate

Now that my 56 is back on the road again I'm thinking about removing the booster and master cylinder from the firewall. I put the booster and cylinder on the firewall and installed a hanging pedal a few years ago when I installed the Volare ifs. I have always wished that the booster and cylinder was under the floor like they were originally.I'm going to be checking catalogs for the parts needed. Any tips ? Thanks.

IMHO, I don't know why you would want to do that. The reservoir is easier to fill, no holes in the floor letting in hot air, no exhaust routing problems around it, and no problems with brake fluid draining back to the MC. If under the floor was better, newer vehicles would have it under the floor but they are all on the firewall...

In my opinion, cleaner is better. Getting it checked without letting any dirt in can be a bit of a challenge when it's covered in road grunge. The firewall offers more protection. Now that you moved it, you have that added protection. If the truck is a driver I would leave it up high.
