LOW BEAM SHUTDOWN
HEY, Long time member, love this stuff, but I have a problem with my 2000 ex. When I turn on my headlights on low beams they will work for about 20 minutes then both will go out, high beams still work at all times. When I turn off lights and turn back on they come back on, but sometimes go out almost immediately and sometimes stay on longer, almost like a bad relay, but according to my manual there is only fuses and they are fine. someone out there must know whats going on ,or am I missing something, I have replaced the headlight switch, still does it. HELP, THANKS.

Just casting stones into the lake, I haven't the slightest clue on this, but I know that there is a relay that shuts everything off after the key is turned off after a set time. The delay relay. This relay is the cause of grief for windows and radio not turning on until a random time after the vehicle has started.
I'm just guessing but is it possible that cuts it out? If you could find a wiring diagram with anything that is connected to the headlight system it might give some clues. That's a really weird symptom hope you can figure it out.

I would bet it is a bad multi-function switch (your turn signal assembly) or known as the "MFS".
Mine went out and this is an all in one unit where the internal connections get worn out or corroded and fail to work.
Plan on about a $250 - $300 repair or so if memory serves me correctly (maybe less)????
