Custom door panel material questions?
Hey,
I'm about to make new door panels for my '73. I am looking for good suggestions about what material to use for the panel, and what type of mounting clips to use so I do not need to use screws. I have a large MDF sheet (the same thickness as a peg board, 1/4 inch)- would that work or should I go thicker for stability and warp resistance? Also, I have seen other people use Auveco spring clip- how do they attach to the panel?
Thanks for suggestions. I plan to use red fake tuck-in-roll vinyl and black vinyl to basically replicate the stock panels. I'll also build in the map pocket as opposed to it mounting separately.
