Ford 9 disk swap
Ok Ive ben searching but cannot find what I'm looking for... I have a.79f150 4x4 with ford 9 and dana 44.. I also have a spair 77 ford 9 and dana 44.. Im going to.use ford dana 44roter... I want to use the d44 callipers and backing plate..easy enough. Same rotors calliper and pads on all 4 wheels would be nice.. I only found 1 guy that used ford callipers. Infact he did it exactly the way I want. But that was on some other site and is pics are gone.. It would be easyer make a backing plate if i use gm callipers cause they bolt rather then pim/wedge in place.. But who wants chevy chit om theyre ford? Not me.... So is there any other reason not to use ford calipers? How come many ford guys haven't done it this way? Another question.... I planed at one time to do f350 booster and car callipers up front before I was going to disk my rear.. So if I were to do that could I use tbird calipers out back too? Or should I say should I use? Any pics and tips or input is nice.. Tia
