I checked the map sensor and hose which were both clean but the pipe on the engine side was almost completely filled with black crudd so cleaned that.
Also installed the blue spring upgrade kit. Idle has been great ( better than ever actually) and seems that it took the lack of power / chugging out of it too.
Not sure which one fixed it but it was 1 or the other.

After you install the spring kit, see if you can find a way to do a cylinder contribution test to find out if any of the injectors have been damaged by low fuel pressure.
GREAT to Hear your truck is runnining better so did you pull the ICP and clean also the conectors, for the surge , ? what was the Prob that you found ? REMINDER = if the ICP plug side dripin oil bad sencer, if not wipe clean and plug in , CHECK 90 on wire could be streatch out to cause short, there for replace .
EGR cooler, my bud , the dreaded, but the not the end I'M on the same road most have the deleate egr , keep it stock . BENNY will be on to let you P<S just keep the fuel clean and add Cetane boost (Diesel Kleene} grey bottle if no freeze , ( WHITE for deg under o anti gel } I ran both and never felt a diff on truck running , makes a diff in freez conditions
the thread MOM ended with P so Pis and then start with the project. OK. Clean ICP connection if wire 90 fills nub or loose , pig tail is needed. OEM pig Tail will fit two connections
