Today my AC compressor clutch stopped kicking on and it is definitely still hot enough to need it here. I haven't gotten to get out there and mess with it yet but I'm wanting to how I should start diagnosing my issue when I can get to it. I've never really had to do an AC work before.
The wiggle test is a start. Wiggle the wires on the sensors. The one on the compressor is know for the pig tail going bad. I think it is the front sensor but i dont remember. Also you can unplug one of the sensors and take a paper clip to the pig tail pins and if the clutch kicks in then you are low on freeon. Dont run it very long like that though. I cant remember which sensor to try that on though.
Mine wasn't working on my ECLB at the start of the summer. I read that someone said to do the wiggle test and unplug the plugs and check the connections. I did this, plugged it back in, and it worked. Cheapest fix ever. Has been working ever since. Bad connection I guess.

As always you guys are awesome. I barely got my fingers on the wires and it kicked back on. Many, many thanks!
I do have a slow freon leak that needs addressing though. Another problem for another day. At least it isn't a high pressure fuel system issue on a brand new truck. I love my OBS flaws and all.

The wiggle test solves it at first but over the course of years it got to the point that I had to order a new high pressure switch and pigtail. Part numbers in thread, stay cool!!

Awesome! Those are the best fixes, aren't they? I think they're pretty few and far between though.

Glenn - I think you're thread was the one I read when I fixed mine. Wasn't sure until you posted this link. If I never told you...thanks! Reps sent.
