the ONLY trucks that have a chance at handling a 11,000lbs 5'er are the Max Payload trucks. In order to get the Max Payload package you need the Long Box (LB) version of whatever cab style you choose.
Realistically, the only 1/2 ton's that can haul an 11k 5'er without being overloaded is a Reg Cab LB. by the time you put any amout of gear in your truck, plus your family, you are usually over your cargo capacity on the Super and Crew cab pickups.
There are a lot of ultra lite 5ers that are not 11,000 lbs. at least on paper that I have seen. I would like to have a 5th wheel for my 1/2 ton if I can find one I like. I am not talking about a monster...just a decent size with a few slide outs.

Remember to include the weight of your gear, including water weight in the tanks (fresh/grey/black). It is real easy to go from marginally OK to overloaded.
I ran mine over a scale, and found I was overloaded by a few hundred pounds. One of the reasons there is now a F250 sitting near my F150.

Yep I hear ya...I look at the capacities and then add max weight for all liquids. (a gallon of water weighs 8.34 lbs.) The other unknown thing is exactly how much weight you will add with your gear.

best thing to do is look at the sticker in the door jam for payload capacity and compare that to the pin weight listed for the camper you are looking at. a well optioned pickup will have a significantly lower payload than a more basic package.
the number on the sticker will include all the accessories your truck came with. that number will account for the total dry weight of your truck, plus a full tank of fuel and a 150lbs driver. anything in excess of those numbers subracts directly from the payload number listed on the door jam.
it may be possible to find a 5'er that is light enough to haul on a non Max-Payload truck, but don't be surprised at the somewhat limited payload of a non HD truck. the GVWR failed to go up with the Curb weight of these new trucks.
