Hey guys long time no post. Hows everybody been? I've been working a ton of OT the last few months and its been a pain trying to get on my phone to post. Thought I'd pop in and say hi.
I wondered what happened to you. Didn't you post on here the other night? I thought you did, cause that's when I wondered where you had been. Kick your shoes off and stay a while! LOL!! Good to hear from you!
Well Im liking the new mobile view the old one kept being slow. The new trucks doing good. Quick for sure compared to the obs. Been DD it since I need to replace a hub seal on the 96. Deinantly get on here more again since I can mobile.
Ive lived in this place the last 4 months. It keeps disappearing it seems like. But I keep acumalting tools and stuff at the house so you know how that goes.
Been good. Ain't had time to really do much to tear a whole lot up. Wife's grandma ain't doing good so trying to find time for stuff is pretty interesting.
I love it. Makes a great DD tow rig. Pulled 12000 like cake. As soon as I get the 96 fixed I'm gonna drive it to work. It needs a bed and body work something awful. And the stuff that comes out of the old stacks at work sometimes doesn't fair to good on black paint so driving the old truck seems like a better idea. I will say the built auto in the SD makes the 5 spd feel slow.
Really wanting to get a garage built next spring so I can build a project. Wanting to drop a 6.4 in an obs f 150 2wd.
On the prospective project, do yourself a favor and use a F250 2wd instead of an F150. The frame and suspension will handle it better and you will have a better rear end for the power too. That would make one quick truck!
I thought about it but I thought about using a 9" and 4 linking it. Need to do some checking on the weight differences between the f250 and f150. Another reason is I don't need to cut the frame on an f150 to have a short bed.
