Steering Issues
I am trying to learn about truck and how to fix them and I have noticed there is excessive play in my steering wheel. Also when I make a sharp turn it makes a terrible squealing noise and sometimes the engine loses power and almost dies. Any ideas of what could cause this? Thanks

Lightly wiggle the steering wheel with the engine off, and the truck sitting in the driveway. While you have someone doing this, you look at the input to the steering box while looking at the output, and also look at the steering linkage. See where the slop is.
