About a month ago I serviced both hubs using the instructions from Guzzle. Greased the hub through the ABS sensor, did the needle bearings, serviced the lockouts, replaced the orings as instructed, turned the rotors, new pads and all went well! Until...
Tested the 4wd from the dash selector all was well. Elk hunting a couple weeks ago, hit the dash swith and no assistance from the front.
Where is the most likely culprit for what I assume is a loss of vacum somewhere?
If it is a vacuum leak the HVAC will default to defrost. Is this happening?
If you manually turn the hubs to LOCK do you have 4WD?
If you do then the transfer shift motor is engaging front drive.
If not than it is a transfer case shift problem.
