No I have never taken the door panel off. It does it when its closed. It sounds like something metal inside the door is ticking near the latch. It comes and goes. My last truck did it and the dealer could never find it.
Dealers do not like and dont wont to fool with these loud noises like the wind noise, ticking in passenger door, and squeel the OP has posted. They told me they dont want to fool with it.
I will say I have lubed all in my door panel and that never solved the ticking.
If it is under warranty, they have no choice in attempting to resolve the issue. And id you can duplicate the noise for them. Tell them you want it fixed. Man i worked my entire carrer in auto repair in dealerships. My butt woulda been fired with. Bs like this.

I promise you the dealerships around here are like this. Green Ford in Greensboro NC is the worst.
If you complain they will red flag you and treat you like crap to get rid of you. I filled out a survey bad against them since they would not fix the issue. The service Manager Marty was pissed about them not getting a 100% on the survey.
I wish I could talk to someone at Ford about this stuff. Its little things but as soon as you call customer care the dealership is pissed and you have burnt a bridge for life in their eyes.
Yup, customer service these days is hard to find. I've taken a Ford or two into my local dealer with ticks, rattles and creaks. One was a loud ticking out of a brand new 5.4L 3V (synonymous with cam phasers) and was told "its probably just a rock stuck in a heat shield or something". Well good, then it should be easy to fix. Nope, they refused. The other time was a rattling passenger side airbag cover (that part of the dash that pops out when the airbag deploys). I was told "its within spec". "What?, Ford has a dashboard rattling spec? What are the parameters and criteria, just so I make sure I don't waste your precious dealership time the next time I come in complaining of this highly annoying issue."
Fact is some dealers don't see themselves as part of Ford when you need them to honor the Ford warranty. I will say I've seen a shift in that attitude since Ford started running the customer satisfaction surveys. Anything less than 100% from a customer survey is a fail, as it should be.
On my drive from Dallas to Austin last week, I encountered the same noise. First time it has happened. (I have about 33K miles.) The noise is exactly the same as the one on youtube - Ford 2011 F350 Highway Noise - YouTube
Any other ideas on what it might be?
Has anyone that has encountered this problem actually gotten if resolved yet?
The very annonying noise happens:
When going 70-75mph on the highway.
Wind (more so) or no wind
When its 65 degrees or lower.
Its definitely not coming from the doors. Noise that I hear is coming from the front windshield driver side.
No visible cracks seen.
Could it be the "cowl". It think that's what it's called. The plastic between the windshield and hood.
Check everything to make sure it's tight. Wind could be getting under it causing the vibration noise. I think it's held on with clips if I'm not mistaken. I would take the cowl off and check them all or just push it down real hard making sure its all the way down. Also if there are any bolts or screws holding it down, I would make sure those are tight as well. Try that and let me know. Heck let us all know.
mine is back in the shop for this issue.
the techs are sure its the windshield and the rubber around it.
they have a 3rd party repair shop work on them - they "resealed" it a couple of weeks ago, but that didn't fix it.
It is not from the doors or the sunroof - mine makes the whistle with the sunroof open or closed.
Air Conditioning on or off.
Radio on or off.
If they can't fix it this time, I might just pull the radio antenna and cowling off and see if that makes a difference and maybe even the wipers and try and see if any of that makes a difference.
Wow, that's annoying if it's anything like the video! My mirrors whistle at me occasionally in a strong crosswind, but it comes and goes - not constant like that. Will be interesting to find out what's causing it, in case mine does start to do it!

Pam. Good to see ya pop back in. Hows that married life treating ya. Humm still on honeymoon. Take. Care Paul
i had a flapping, ticking noise one time on a chevy truck that turned out to be the rubber seal around the windsheild. it didnt happen until i installed a bug/rock guard guard.
i had another truck that had a rattle and it turned out to be one of the cowl pieces was a little loose.
the noise i hear in the video sounds more like an electrical buzz....??? a sensor or relay or something freaking out?

Hey! Married life is not much different than livin' in sin life, it's all good! LOL! Haven't had much to say lately, just lurking and reading, waiting for the next major failure to hit - NOT.
I did pass the 30K mile mark recently, truck is still awesome although I have turned the cleaning duties over to the local hand wash business. For $20 and about half an hour, I can't beat it for time or money well spent. I tip them well though, it's typically college kids (Texas State) working their way through school, plus they have a lot of truck to get clean and I'm picky.
Other than that, not much going on. We do have another Ford truck in the family though, the husband's '97 is on life support so bought a friend's shortbed stepside '03 V6 with a manual transmission for a song. It's like driving a sports car compared to Evelyn and the husband's crew cab long bed - with no turning radius (that thing is a pig). Husband wants to rebuild her, I just want her GONE! We'll see who wins that battle....
The you-tube noise is the outer door gasket where it tucks up under the metal trim ring around the windshield. Mine did it badly when driving in a crosswind from the right.
