2005 Ford Radio

Has anyone added a plug, to their radio, to play an ipod? The oldies station in my area is going South and I want to play my own selection.

You have to use a "PIE" adaptor to get ipod interface with the factory radio.

Should work. Many have used eBay units with some success. If you have a Cartoys nearby that might be an option for about the same price.

And they will know whether it will work or not.

Thank you. I'll ask at Car Toys. I also found them on ebay. I'll get one and let you know how it works.

Sig40. I have been using a FRDx adapter for almost 7 years. They are great. You can either use the RCA input to put through a iPod or direct satellite radio in. Just don't try both, as what happens is it burns out trying both inputs. The sound direct into the stereo is really leaps and bounds better than an fm broadcaster for either the sat or iPod. You will like it. Let me know if you have installation issues, see what I can do to help. I have done it several times, because of my dual inputs.

You just have to remove the stereo to install it.

I have tried several FM type transmitters, but none of them work...
I'll look for a YouTube video on how to remove the radio. I'm going by car toys today and see if they have a PIE. If they are too stupid on their price, I'll order one off ebay.
I can't wait for my one tunes and NO NEWS OR AD's.
