I read an e mail once Glenn. It was from this nice fellow in Somalia. He was having a hard time getting money out of the country. All he needed was a couple grand from me and promised 100's of thousands in return. I'm still waiting...

This may be a question best self-answered LOL!! I don't think any of it will "hurt" the engine. What ever you decide to use, just keep up on the oil and filter changes, and you should be fine.

X2

I also run it in our fleet of trucks at work. The PPM of wear particles is unbelievable.

I run their 5/50 9000 race oil in my 580 inch race car engine.

It doesn't matter what you use if you change every 3000 miles. In our old trucks if you go longer than that you're crazy.

I was just curious on where you heard this information from. The Engine Technician where my family has bought all our Ford trucks instructed me that the Valvoline 15w-40 I use that it will last 5000 miles easily under normal driving. And seeing that I drive mostly all highway and I have also use Lucas additives, I have never had a problem. Just wondering if he was wrong.

I run my intervals on out too, I just watch the oil analysis and go by it.

My oil is more clean at 5000 mile now than it was with Rotella at 2000.

I run a oil bypass system call FS2500 and feel that I can double the 3000 mile limit of yours very easy without a problem with good oil.

Just what I think. I'm a firm believer if you run the correct viscocity and you change often, oiling issues will not be an issue. Just my two cents from over the years. I don't believe in additives and synthetic this and that. I believe in clean oil. Now under certain circumstance I think some oil are better ie race engines etc. but on the street clean oil is > everything.
