Ok guys I have been searching posts and working on my engine to no avail. I have a 2004 F350 (engine build date 6/2004)
Originally the engine lost power gong up a hill. When I pulled over and let off the throttle it died. I put it on a computer and it threw a P2285 code (injector control pressure switch low). I did make a tool to check high pressure oil pressure at the ICP port. when I (air) pressurized the system it slowly bleed off but you could not hear where it was coming from. This was a test I learned from an earlier post. I bench checked the Ipr valve with air pressure and it seemed to be leaking when charged with 12v. So I replaced it. I did put an EGR delite kit on as long as I had it apart. I changed the oil and filter put the engine back together and the engine still would not start. Then I made a pressure gauge, put it in the ICP hole and cranked the engine over, it took about 20 or 30 seconds but it eventually built over 500 lbs of pressure and sounded like it wanted to start. Here's the weird thing, at that pressure the engine stopped turning over and the starter sounded like it was grinding then turned a little more and again ground and kept repeating. I am starting to get frustrated any suggestions are sure appreciated.
