hi guys are there much differences in years for 6.0s other then the head bolts and egr cooler? im looking to get a newer truck but not too sure if i want to deal with 6.0 problems or cummins problems i like the look of the ford trucks better and have a good ford dealer near by. In my area theirs alot of 05s and 07 f350s by 07 did ford get all the bugs worked out do i still have to be caustious about egr and oil coolers issues?

The head bolts are the same on all year models.

No matter what year, you need to be cautious of the oil coolers. The early year models actually had the better EGR coolers.

i thought in 03 or 04 the head bolts were 18mm and then 04 or 05 upgraded to 20mm

Locating dowels, not the bolts. I think it was 06 but please correct me if wrong.

Jan 2006, the locating dowell size changed. head bolts are the same.
