Nav Screen Cover

I noticed when using the nav screen you touch it to change areas
Does anyone sell a clear screen cover to protect it
I am sure it will scratch in time if not protected?

I wouldn't expect the screen to go through any similar abuse a phone would where it's in and out of your pocket or anything. I guess if it got large particles of dust on it, and you dragged your finger around the screen it could... Honestly, I never really thought about a screen cover but I guess I can see the benefit.

I wonder how a tablet screen cover would do. I like the dry screen covers that Verizon usually has for phones, not sure if they make 'em any bigger for tablets that you could cut it down from, but should give you something to run with. Post back with pics if you end up finding something.

I have a screen saver on my I phone 4S
I would think over time the Nav screen will get damaged
If I find anything I will let you know

I'd be interested in hearing back from you if you find anything along the lines of a cover. Some type of screen protector is actually a very good idea - it's a completely different material than the iPhone screens and much more susceptible to scratching / abrasion. When I was planning out my nav unit install I had one unit some in from a seller that had clear and visible rub spots on the screen (that unit was returned), so it's definitely a potential issue.

I bought a cheap stylus from best buy this weekend to test it on my screen. It worked great, and I don't have to worry about fingerprints anymore. I also keep a small microfiber cleaning cloth to get rid of dust.

It will absolutely become permanently marred from using. My '11 screen was in very bad condition when I traded it in. My hands were always clean when I used it but the screen is garbage. You have to use a fairly thin screen protector such as this: Navprotector - Finest screen protector for vehicle navigation in the market today

I think my iPad screen protector would work too but it would have to be cut down. Or go to Wal-Mart in the electronics department and they have quite a few screen protectors.
