Stock ride?

Out of curiosity, how many members run stock suspension, stock engine and trans as daily drivers?

Like me, I plan to keep the stock 66 suspension, manual brakes, manual steering, three on the tree, inline 6. maybe upgrade later. Driving her daily is the game plan, taking long trips in her, driving interstate etc.

interested to see what everyone comes up with.

My '63 is mostly stock. I did add a power booster to the brakes and it stops 100% better. It would be nice to have power steering but not worth the trouble. I plan on keeping the i-6.

That's how I drive my '66. I just pulled the 352 and am in the process of installing a 416 though.

I daily drive my stock 66 F100 352, 4 on the floor, manual brakes/steering and love every second of it. Eventually I'll upgrade the brakes/steering, I may even install a radio!

Mine is all stock,,,, stock lil' 240 - I6, stock - T18, I did change the 9" out,, it was a dog going up these hills around here,, stock it was supposed to be 3.50's,,, so I had bought a 302,, because I figered the lil'240 was tired,,, well I had to change the rear wheel bearings,, so I thought I will check the 9" also,,,, turns out it was 3.00 - not 3.50,, found a 9" for $75 that had 3.70's,,,,, WOW!! So much better!! Pulls Deadwood in 4th,, my mileage actually improved!!
I did re-do all the brakes when I bought him, "Shrek" as he has been named,, new M/C, had all the drums turned,,, had the seat re-upholstered,,, and since he had the radio delete,, I gots no tunes!! But it does make for nice "quiet time" as I toodle around! I did go with after-market rims and tires,,, Black Rock 15x8 rims and 265/70/15 tires,,, I like the fat, fill the wheel well look,,, I even left him with all of his wonderful earned "Patina",,,
Heck,, first time I drove him down to Fresburg,,, I had 3 different guys ask if I would sell him!!

Mine's far from stock now but when you get down to it, it's not a whole lot different fundamentally. Modified 292, 5 speed, front disks, lowered about 3" but still leaf sprung. Power nothing. It's a daily driver. In my opinion to drive daily in today's world requires some upgrades. And the fact is, only a relative handful of people have trucks this old that are still stock. Many are stock appearing, I'll give you that.

Everything is stock on my 65 F250 CS w/352 except the ignition which I converted to a pertronix ignitor 2 for reliability reason. But I wouldn't hesitate to put the points back in, in a heart beat. I like the manual steering & brakes, the AM radio and the rough ride. So far since I got this truck a year ago I've replaced all the fluids, Intake manifold gasket, King pins, Radius arm bushings, Piviot bushings, Brakes front & rear.

Hey 1 ton does it have to be a ford, cause i have a 1937 plymouth that i drive now and then its all stock.Even got bias tires.but to be honest the only reason its still stock is lack of funds.

I drive my 65 F100 4wd stock. When it gets a complete restoration in a few years I plan to put a 2" over arch into the springs. My 63 will be on stock plus a 2" inch over factory rearch when it is restored.
