The 12V source for the trailer should be on your factory trailer plug, but remember, it only sends 12 volts to the trailer when the engine is running.
If it isn't working, check your fuses.

I'm wondering if he's wanting a lead that's hot all the time (with the key off). If so one doesn't exist at the plug. If you're wanting one you'll either need to modify the existing wiring, or run one yourself from the battery.

You do know that leaving a charge wire hooked to RV overnight will prob run down your truck battery so you will not be able to start your truck the next day, right?
