We just bought a 2003 exp. Guess what the gear is broken lol. I checked it out last night. I am pretty sure I will be getting in touch with you soon about a gear for it. It does not matter most of the time. We are getting ready to take a trip and we will both be driving. she is 5'2" I am 5'11". Kinda need to be able to adjust the pedals lol.

Curless, You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. OMG your gear has saved my knees from the inevitable purgatory of a 5 hour trip with my knees at a 90 degree angle.
It was a very tight getting the gear on and I was afraid that it wasnt going to work. It would screw it on and it would stuck about a 1/4 of the way on. Yikes!
I sought the advice of an older neighbor who gave me some relative advice. Toss more lube on it and keep screwing back and forth. I took his advice and the more grease i added and screwed a back and forth the better it fit. After a test run with the top on the pedals adjusted like it did back on day one.
