Bed Rail Part Number:

Does anyone know if these bed rails on my 1973 are a Ford part?The rods are stainless and the mounting brackets are chrome.I need new mounting brackets and pads.They were installed on truck in 1978.Please help Number Dummy!Thanks,Russ

It's aftermarket, has pointy ends. Genuine Ford: The ends of the rails do not extend past the stanchions.

I'm using shorter mounts - legs on mine ,from Overtons. I see where you live , I bought one in Raleigh

looks like the rails used on the el camino. check ebay as i'v seen this type of rail posted for bid. DC sells repos of the original but hi dollar.

I know it has been awhile!Again,does anyone know anything about this type bed rails?Are they by chance from a company called Perry Craft?I need new feet and gaskets.

This is a Ebay link. A SHORTER version of (Mount, leg ) that should fit your rail.
there are two sizes, They are probably Perry Craft . A lot of southern Va, trucks had these.

The rod is stainless and the feet are chrome.Mine are pitting bad and the gaskets are in bad shape also.I would like to find replacement parts or a new kit!

Yes,I have a place here locally and thought I would get them to look at before I take off truck.Problem is I have some pitting started and not sure about the condition of bottom gaskets.I figured I could maybe fabricate some type of new gasket though.

Make sure that the gasket material doesn't absorb or retain water or attract dirt. Too many times I've seen good intentions with temporary gasket material left in and rotted the bed sheet metal.
