FWD Hub Question
I'm replacing the brake rotor/hub on my '93 Explorer. The book says I need to torque down the 2 1/8" nut when installing the new hub. I don't have a socket that big, and don't want to buy one for this one job. Can I just use channel locks or another tool and esitmate the tightness? Thanks.

If you have an auto zone or some other parts store that rents freebee tools, that may be an option. Most of the time they want a deposit, but you get it back when you return it. I used them the first time today for a tie rod puller, it was awesome, no beating a pickle fork with a large hammer and tearing up seals. GOOD LUCK CHUCK!
