What model are these 4x4 hubs?

I'm replacing wheel bearings in the front of my truck.

While disassembling the front hubs I noticed they don't look like the ones in my shop manual.

Any idea what model these Warn manual locking hubs are? Does it look like anything is missing to you?

I just went through the same thing with mine. From my research and talking to several 4x4 parts distributors I was told those washers your missing is for auto hubs. One side of mine had them and one side didnt. So I took them off the other side and have had no I'll effects as of yet.

Thanks for the input. That's definitely interesting what they told you. The shop manual picture says its for "manual locking hubs" though. Either it's a misprint or they might be incorrect.

Another scenario could be that the ford OEM hubs used the 3 washers but they aren't needed with the Warns. I'd love to get a look at some OEM hubs and see if they aren't deep or something.

Anyone have pictures of their OEM manual locking hubs for a Dana 50?

It looks like you have the Warn Premium hubs, which are aftermarket. And you have everything you need with those hubs.

I went to a junk yard and pulled a hub off to see if it had the thrust washers and they didnt. Maybe the warn need them. I ended up buying a set of mile markers and they didn't come with them so I didn't use them.

There were no OEM manual locking hubs. The OEM hubs were auto. As said, those are Warn Premiums. Warn has install diagrams/instructions on their web site.

So it's a misprint in my service manual then? That's definitely a possibility.

How do the auto ones work? Was there a button on the dash? Because I don't have a button.

You had to engage the T-case, when the front driveshaft turns it engages the wheel, there junk hence why most trucks have lockouts.

What shop manual are you using, Fords or Warns? The ford one won't have anything for manual hubs.

Thanks for that explanation. Yeah it's the Ford one.
