Radiator options

I am running a stock 3row radiator with the 7.3 conversion, and during the summer it doesn't cool as well as I'd like. The stock IDI radiator was way too big to fit in the truck, so that option is out. I've been looking at the extra cool and max cool 4row copper/brass radiators, but if I'm going to sink $300+ into this thing, I want it to keep the engine cool while hauling a big trailer in the summer.
Does anyone have experience with more modern radiators in these older trucks?

I don't think airflow is the issue, it gets hot even at highway speeds when worked. My existing radiator is borderline anyways, it's a stock one out of a 76 F250 4x4 that I mounted on some custom brackets since it's the rear mount style and not the front mount that should be in the truck.
The only times it has an issue is when going uphill or into a stiff headwind loaded. Regular highway running it's just fine, so that's why I think I'm just overrunning the radiator's capacity.

You cannot go wrong with one of these bolt in aluminum radiators. I have bought three of them and been very happy. Add two bottles of water wetter when you install it and you will have no issues. Very nice radiator for the $.

Those look pretty sweet. I'll put one on the "when the money is available" list. I didn't expect to find one that cheap so it will be sooner rather than later, though.

And not the front mount that should be in the truck.
1967/72 F100/350: Two different radiator supports as the one for the optional Super Cooling Radiator (SC/R) has a larger opening radius.

1973/79 F100/350: Two different radiator supports as the one for the optional SC/R has a larger opening radius.

SC/R: 26 1/4" wide x 26 1/4" high / Other radiators are 26 1/4" wide x 19 3/4" high. SC/R has a HUGE top tank, is wider and deeper than the other radiator top tanks.

Your original post gave the impression you were willing to spend $300. Those are less than $300?

I'm getting a list of short term and longer term repairs, a stock 3row copper brass is $300, and it may give similar marginal performance as the current one. This is a more urgent thing to fix, as I need to make a few trips to Idaho with a heavy trailer once snow is gone.
As far as mounting, I'm not worried about it. I don't have too much concern about modifying my truck to get what I want-
