I am trying to remove all the emmisions components (EGR, air injection) and related vacuum lines from my 5.8HO. The only vacuum lines i would like too keep are the ones to the heater controls, the throttle kicker, the ignition module, the distributor, cruise control, and brake booster. Does any body have any suggestions for doing this?
sounds like you have it all figured out already. I would just take the main vac. tree in the rear of the manifold and route the large one to the brakes. I would run a wax. temp vac switch inline to the distributor advance. and run a main one to the cruise and tee it off to run the heater controls.

Also, what vacuum lines do i need to keep to retain the throttle kicker so my idle bumps up when i turn the a/c on?
I don't KNow about the AC. I imagine it's a line from the ac control to the idle - up solonoid (I've seen electric ones that work well though)
The wax switch was on the 351 i pulled out of a car I thought it's a great idea to make starting and cold running easier.. It won't advance the timing until the engine reaches op.temp.
