Kawcrasher: East Penn makes Deka Brand. They also make Caterpillar Brand batteries.
They also make several private brands, but I don't remember them.
I am running Deka's, about a year now. About a $100.00 for 850CCA. Working well.

Ya, Dekas are what they where in the SD. Deka is East-penn's "own" brand of battery. I've had great luck them in the past, but not recently. I friend put a set in an IDI last year. I'm going to wait and see how they do before I buy any again.

I too put two new Interstate MTP65's in mine earlier this year or late last year and my buddy put two of them in his X last month. They have upgraded the battery for these trucks from the MTP65, so they say. I like mine and also use a battery tender, so I curious if their life will be extended to the others. We'll see.
