Hi guys.... I posted a few days ago about wife's ex not starting
I think batteries are fine...took them out and charged them both...replaced them and went to crank engine.
Normal glow plug and injector noises, all lights normal, glow plg light goes out..then hit starter.....she cranks fine...with lots of force..but won't ignite.
I have new batteries in it 2 mos old. New alternator 2 months old. new injector system that replaces the under the door old fuel control module I believe. Master mechanic friend did it about 6 months ago.
She has been running fine, until 3 days ago. Now just won't start.
Could it be starter even though it sounds like its cranking fine?
Glow plugs? i hope not.. I heard they are expensive.
I know I'm new here and all, but I just haft this problem recently with my OBS F250 7.3l, the IDM went out and it took me replacing the batteries, the CPM and a list of other items before I was led to the IDM, good luck to ya
Frank
Edited to add: I had the same problem, she would crank and crank and crank...... But 0 ignition
Fuel pump maybe. Have you checked the fuel pressure? I had a similar issue with my v10. I even had the pressure cheked and it came back good. Your issue sounds like it is fuel related. Now to find the source.
