Big square bed bolts

Big square bed bolts
What is the best tool to use, or rather what is the tool called to get those bolts off with the squared allen type heads?

Try a cheap 3/8" extension (socket end). You may need to file the sides a little for a snug fit.

i had a bit of 3/8 key stock which fits too. no grinding. I bent the end for a handle.

When they are new they used a square 5/16"
Its called a plug socket and the major tool guys have them. I bought mine from matco

Thanks for the actual name of the socket. I have never worked on anything that had one.
