Exclamation Acceleration issue!

It is not winter. Its early fall in West Texas but my 2001, 7.3 Diesel Expedition has an acceleration problem just after start up. If I run it down the road while the engine is warming up, I notice a serious lull when I step on the gas. This has only started recently and it only happens while the engine is warming up. Once I get down the road a bit and that needle climbs to inside the nominal range indicator then it goes away. However, this has never happened before. I went up a small hill this morning and had the pedal to the floor and was crawling up the road. Again, I expect this in the winter but the mornings here have been in the mid 60' at the coolest. What could this be?:

I'm sure you meant Excursion, but lemme ask you this first, what mods have been done to your rig?

Also, how long ago did you do maintenance on it (oil change, fuel filter change, trans service, etc) and what exactly did you do?

No mods done ever. Service is up to date but the oil change will be up soon. And yes I meant Excursion

Can you hear your EBPV engaging? Sounding like a jet turbine out of the exhaust?
