In your valley there is a fuel pressure dampner. It is directly behind the fuel bowl and under the turbo. That is if you have Cali split shot injectors, it is a device designed to smooth out the pulses of the injectors.
You can also look on your passenger side valve cover and notice if it has blue writing it will say "Meets California and Federal emissions."
