2009 Explorer turn signal problem

Hows it going guys, Had an error come up on my dash. Check left turn signal. when i turned it on it was blinking fast so i figured the bulb was about to go. went to autozone changed the blub. signal worked fine for a few days then got same error message again. Changed bulb again. same thing. went to ford and bought the bulb changed it again for the same problem. i used to gloved top install the bulb each time. Could it be i need a new socket. Truck only has 30K on it and was just at ford for service. Any ideas ?

Thanks Guys

Rob

Welcome to the forum!

There is more than one turn signal bulb for each side. Are you replacing the same bulb each time? Which bulb? Have you checked all other bulbs? You might try turning on the 4-way flashers and compare what all lights up on the right side with what all lights on the left side. Have you checked the owner's manual related to the "Check left turn signal" message?

Also, unless Ford went with some really high tech, high power turn signal bulb for the 2009 Explorer, there isn't a real need to use a glove when changing the bulbs. That concern generally only applies to the headlight bulb capsules.
