I am doing a mild restro on my 79 F350 4x4 SC and was wondering "where" to get replacement carpet? I have used several place's to buy carpet for regular cab truck's and bronco's, but just thought I would ask the FTE folks where they buy theirs...thanks!!
When I restored my 72 F250, I did a lot of research and determined that Stock Interiors provided a great product at a good price. I was very pleased with the carpet. It fit well and was of great quality. I did request that the carpet be "untrimmed" along the edges. This is because they will give you more carpet to make sure it covers the entire floor. It also provided me with a lot of extra carpet, lengthwise, which allowed me to wrap it up behind the in-cab gas tank cab wall. I didn't order the optional mass layer and if I did it over again, I probably would have just for the extra insulation factor. Thanks, good to hear!! Did you get the "plush" or "ultra-plush" ? Since I don't have a tank in my cab, I will probably just order it to cut to size with the mass backing. Thanks for the link.

I actually chose the loop pile since mine was a 72 and I was trying to restore it back to as original as possible. In 72 they didn't use the plush cut piles. You might also consider doing some sound dampening and insulating while you are at it. Here is a link to my 72 sound dampening and carpeting video: 72 F250 Ford Sound Deadener.AVI - YouTube
