with out in cab gas tank gives you more carpet to cover where the tank would be .
LMC is just a reseller . I got my carpet from below very happy with Quality ,fit and price Auto Carpet for Car, Truck, Van - Stock Interiors
If you have removed the tank from the bed, try ordering carpet for a 73-79. There was 4 in added at the rear of the cab in 73 and the remaining floor is same as 65-72.
Some carpets go along the rocker and don't extend under the seat and leave it metal. Others cover the floor in its entirety and extend to under where the gas tank would be.
Know which you are ordering.
The PO of '70 included new carpet which was still in the box... I pulled it out too late to discover it didn't extend under the bench and I going to install buckets... installed it anyway and now it is on my to-do list to install the correct carpet... gotta relocate the in-cab tank first though... dang to-do list!!!
is there a different between in-cab-gas-tank and without in-cab-gas-tank for the carpet
How is the quality from LMC-carpets?
The only 1967/72 F100/350's that didn't have an in-cab fuel tank were Crew Cabs or 1969/72 F100/350's with the factory in-cab storage compartment that took the place of the fuel tank.
When the storage compartment was installed, the optional 25 gallon auxiliary fuel tank became a mandatory order for an obvious reason.
You aren't going to gain any additional legroom by relocating the in-cab fuel tank. When back all the way, the lazy-back of the seat hits the back of the cab.

The carpet without cab tank will cover all way to the back of the cab. The best buy I found is Rock Auto, they carry ACC carpet and the 100% Nylon is $108.79 and the 80% Rayon/20% Nylon is $115.79. 1970 FORD F-100 6.4L 390cid V8 Flooring | RockAuto

Moving the tank nets storage space for tools, spares, n such... that's my motivation for removing the in cab tank.
