My front hitch mounts to the front lead spring mounts on my 01, leaving the fog lights in place. Your 05 doesn't have leaf springs so I'm not sure if there is a similat option available for you. I think its a Drawtite.

Front Trailer Hitch

Anyone using the Bodiak Front Receiver Hitch on a 2011 or 2012 Super Duty.
It appears that it mounts inside the Bumper rather than under the Bumper...Seems like the perfect scenario potentially!?!?!?

I removed my draw-tite front recvr hitch and will offer it up for sale
I am probably buying a crash bar style

This may be a silly question, but why not go with something like a Ranch Hand Legend bumper that has the built-in receiver for the front, or whatever other brand with the same idea?
