Ok this what I have happening, I have a 94 f-250 7.3l power stroke
I having a check en light and the truck will run for 30 then it shuts off, so I found out that if I unplug the icp Im able to drive the truck with no problem, now I did pluged it back in and I forgot to unplug it for weeks it drove fine noproblem and no light, then I got another check light and again I unpluged it drives fine. what should I do? I need to fix it cuz Iam going hunting next month. Iam thinking about replaceing the oil pump the ipr ,icp. any ideas? it makes it bad cus I have to drive from northern Colorado to southern Colorado to Ft Carson.
Sounds to me like you need a new ICP. It is either that or the IPR (unplugging the ICP can occasionally un-stick a stuck IPR) but since it runs fine with the ICP unplugged I think your IPR is okay and you just need a new ICP.
Does it (the ICP) seep oil? That's a sure sign that it is shot.
