My father's 2001 7.3 is leaking coolant out of a metal tube located on the front passenger side of the block next to the water pump. I cannot see where this tube goes on the to of the motor due to the A/C bracket. What is this tube and why is it leaking? Any help would be appreciated. (it pours antifreeze when running) Thanks
Looking at my 7.3 I don't see any metal lines on the block near the water pump. If you could take a pic we could lead you to a fix. Right now it's just a shot in the dark.
It sounds to me like you are describing the water-in-fuel drain tube that comes down the front of the engine on the passenger's side and stops about half way down. It is a small 3/8" metal tube.
Are you sure it is not fuel rather than coolant?

Yep thats your fuel bowl drain tube. If its for sure coolant then you have a big problem. I'm not sure how your fuel bowl is filling up with coolant. Sounds impossible to me. Light the liquid on fire and see if it burns.
