I have a 1996 F-250 with 7.3 turbo that will not start or is hard to start. The batteries, starter, and alternator all check out fine. It is hard to start in the cold but it is in the 90's here in FL right now, it will crank eventually and sometime right off if I plug it in to a charger and put it on boost. Getting frustrated!
When was your last oil change? Current oil level? Last time the fuel filter was changed? Fuel level in the bowl? Does it smoke white out the tail pipe when your cranking it? Tach bouncing while your cranking it? Could be your CPS, also could be a plugged screen inside the upper fuel bowl. Answer these questions and I'm sure you'll get this figured out quickly..
The fuel filter is new, just changed last week. The truck was serviced 2 months ago and is only driven minimally with most being on the ranch. Made it in to town and got a CPS this evening so going to try that in the morning. Thanks!
