clutch problems

I need some advice. 1988 f150 4x4 4.9 with a 5 speed trans. The clutch started to act funny, pedal sticking not really engaging. checked fluid and added a little. no leaks found. few days later had to add more fuid. left work one day and with the clutch on the floor and foot on the brake the truck started to pull off at a stop sign. check fluid none needed! clutch still acts up, will not hold for very long before truck start to move. pump the pedal to shift gears. can't find any leaks. please help I love this truck and it is driving me crazy not being able to drive it! Thanks in advance.

Time for a new master cyl I would think.

thanks That is what I was thinking now just finding the time to check and replace it. still haven't found where the fluid was going to.

Check where the rod from the clutch pedal goes into the clutch master on the firewall. Might be fluid around the area.

replaced the clutch master cylinder over the weekend. clutch works, just a little softer than I wanted. Any way to adjust or just keep bleeding it? still didn't find where the fluid was going. thanks for the help!
