Hello everyone. Ok this is what is going on......the story I got was that the lights were left on over night and killed batt. So they boosted it and it started fine. But it now. Had a ruff ideal.......so they went and bought a new battery for it......so they install it and go for a ride All seems well until they go to stop and the truck dies....so they start it back up and continue to go down road stop sine dies......so they call me over and I plug in AE and it tells me p1000 and p61b. Well I have no idea what p61b is.......it has lots power, ideals ruff. But it stalls when coming to a stop
The P61B code is generated by the Electronic Throttle Controller.
The code specifically is a Torque calculation failure.
This controller is seperate from the main computer (PCM).
You must have a dealer service the issue with proper test equipment and repairs.
The P1000 code was caused by the battery issue replacement.
It's not a trouble code but is set untill the PCM completes all testing that was caused by the PCM power down.
Don't worry about the 1000 code but you need the 61b addressed by a dealer.
The 61b code is a 'CAN' version code that came in with electronic throttle.
Good luck.
