Ok I know some of you guys love to use that term. I bought a 2004 Jeep 2 weeks ago. The sales experience was good, it's the first time I bought from a dealer since 2009 but I worked at that dealer. So anyway here in NY there is a 30 day lemon law and I had a couple issues I was concerned about so I took it to their service dept. They replaced the steering box because of a noise it was making, so I was cool with that. I picked it up next day and besides noticing the steering wheel was slightly off center and I had what amounted to less than $1 in change in the center console was missing. Really? Are they that hard up for cash? I'm a tech for a living so I'll fix the steering wheel myself, I'll never take it back there. I have found all kinds of cash in peoples cars they didn't know was in there but I just put it in the cup holder. This place might be a good service dept but 1 A*@$&*E can f it up for everybody else. The service manager is the brother of my asst manager so he let him know about it.
I had an '86 F-150 that had a plastic cross bed tool box. While at the dealer for paint service someone popped the lock on the box and stole all of my tools and contents. The dealer made good on it and paid me what I thought the tools were worth. I probably under valued them so they wouldn't think I was trying to rip[ them off. I continued to use the dealer and never had another issue and I stopped using plastic tool boxes.
